Api Obturation Pen and Backfill System provides an accurate and predictable 3D filling that will improve Endodontics efficiency.

The two function systems can be used individually or in adjunct with one another according to the treatment conditions.

IT IS A 3D OBTURATION TECHNIQUE OF RADICULAR SPACE.

• Required during compaction: Preparing the canal with a continuously tapering funnel and keeping the apical foramen as small as possible.
• Using heated pluggers, one applies pressure in a vertical direction to the heat softened gutta-percha and thereby causes it to flow and to fill the entire lumen of the canal.

OBTURATION PEN SYSTEM IS GREAT ADVANTAGE IN FULFILLING SCHILDER'S  OBJECTIVES OF WARM VERTICAL COMPANION :

• A continuous tapering funnel should be present from the root canal orifice to the root apex.
• A root canal should be prepared so that it flows with the shape .
• The shape of Apical foramen should not be changed or moved.
• Apical foramen should be kept as small as is practical so that excess gutta-percha will not be forced through it during vertical compaction.
