The bone substitutes indicated with the term ‘FLEX’ have the same biological properties as the OSTEOPLANT substitutes (presence of type I bone collagen, same remodeling times). In addition, they have undergone partial demineralization, making them flexible and therefore easily adaptable to curved surfaces and profiles. Flexible cortical membrane with total osteoclastic remodeling – OSTEOPLANT Cortical Membrane: OSTEOPLANT Cortical Membrane is a cortical membrane with osteoclastic remodeling to be positioned to protect bone grafts. Exerts a tent effect and protects from the invasion of epithelial cells. Its remodeling only takes place by means of the osteoclasts from the graft site below. It is therefore a long-lasting membrane that must not be removed. Total remodeling time depends on the conditions of the graft site (indicatively: from 6 to 12 months). Bone promoters - OSTEOPLANT ACTIVAGEN/ ANGIOSTAD These are formulations based on type I bone collagen (demineralized bone matrix) stimulating morphogenesis (OSTEOPLANT® ACTIVAGEN) or angiogenesis (OSTEOPLANT® ANGIOSTAD), to be used together with other osteoconductive products to facilitate bone regeneration.

Indications

• Vertical augmentation, on the upper or lower jaw, with contemporary implant placement
• Sinus lift; protection of the Schneider membrane, mimicking the Tulasne technique       
• Horizontal onlay grafts on the upper or lower jaw
• Sinus lift, grafted to protect the Schneider membrane

Lifting the bone window and the Schneider membrane

A piece of OTC‐S1 has been cut, and is being hydrated with physiologic solution.

The cancellous flexible sheet is placed below the sinus membrane.

The sheet protects the sinus membrane from the following operations (graft of granules or implant placement

The remaining volume is filled with BGM‐05 granules.

A BCG‐01 collagen membrane is placed to cover the access window after hydrating it.
