Durr Dental Power Tower Silence PTS 200

The Power Tower Silence systems combine compressed air and suction in one housing.

The new PTS 200 is network compatible and also has a colour touch display.

The Power Tower Silence (PTS 105) is a combination between combined suction unit VS 900 and an amalgam separater model 7801-08 into a sound insulation covers which reduce the noise level to approx. 52 dB(A) (as tested in a soundproof room).

The combined suction unit VS 900 is a vacuum unit with integrated automatic separator. The vacuum diversity factor is 60% when supplying five treatment stations simultaneously (based on the larged canula).

The amalgam separator is located below the VS 900 and has a maximum fluid flow rate of 16 l/min at separation of >95% . The PTS 195 can be used at stations where dental patients are treated with amalgam. This corresponds with the German FrameworkDrainage-Management regulations (Appendix 50, Dental Treatment).

Through aspiration there will be, amongst other things, heavy metals and amalgam dust from drilled out fillings. Amalgam in the drain is difficult to break down biologically. To reduce the heavy metal pollution of the waste water DÜRR-Dental has developed a combined unit consisting of the combination suction unit VS 900 together with an amalgam separator

The amalgam separator has a separation efficiency greater than 95% with a through flow rate of approx. 16 l/min.
The amalgam sludge is collected in a collecting vessel integrated in the VS 900.
Depending on the rate collected, it is anticipated that the collecting vessel will be changed every 6-9 months.
