Gdc Lingual Arch Plier (3000/58)

These pliers make consistent, repeatable bends.

Forms doubleback bend in .036 wire for use in Goshgarian transpalatal arch sheaths.

Sheaths are most commonly used for transpalatal arches, but they may also be used for lingual arches or quad helix appliances.

The wire is bent around the end of the plier, and then crimped closed with progressively smaller grooves in the plier.

This plier is also used whenever a machine-made doubleback bend in preformed palatal bars is manipulated (torque, toe-in) to avoid distortion.
