TMD Appliance™
The TMD Appliance™ performs much the same as a TMJ Appliance™, only it is specially designed for patients who require a daytime splint for the relief of TMJ symptoms.

It treats symptoms by decompressing the TM joints through its aerofoil shaped base. The customisable, low-profile design allows for tight and comfortable fit for patients who need to maintain clear speech during the daytime.

The TMJ System™
The TMJ System™ is comprised of a series of soft intra-oral appliances specifically designed to assist in the diagnosis and symptom relief of TMJ disorder.

The appliances have a thick section at the back which relieves pressure by gently decompressing the inflamed joints when placed in the mouth. They also automatically correct the alignment of the lower jaw and stretch the tight and painful muscles around the jaws, head and neck area, resulting in an immediate decrease in pain. Over long periods, this helps to decrease long term pain. Bruxing (grinding of teeth) is also prevented by the patented aerofoil shaped base and dual moulded design.

Directions for use
The TMD Appliance™ is most effective when used during the day in combination with the TMJ Appliance™ during the night. It can be used for immediate symptom relief throughout the day and is particularly effective at reducing clicking and acute TM Joint pain. It is also suitable for patients who have missing molars.
